Day 14 of Prayer Guide - Health for Your Mind

Day Fourteen
Health for Your Mind

Romans 8:6b To set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. (ESV)

Oh how you long for the fog to vanish. You reach for clarity and focus, but it eludes once more. This season has aged your mind like never before. Could altering the object of your thoughts, restore life to your mind?

Withered one, reach out your hand and clutch health for your mind.

Today I Pray for You:

·         To gather close to the warmth of God’s own heart, as your fog lifts.

·         To focus on God, so He can focus your mind.

Today You Pray:

Sustainer, the tension of my brain slides out as I am shrouded in Your presence. I park my mind on You and allow the particles of my confusion to slip away. Life and peace blanket my mind.

Gone is the tension and strain. No throbbing; no pain. As I fill my mind with the Your fullness, it is emptied of stress. My mind is clear.

  1. Hi Shannon - I love the portion 'focus on God, so He can focus your mind' Wow, that is so true. Focus on Him and suddenly, things start to make sense, order seems to start returning. Amazing. Our God is good - all the time.
    Blessings

  3. My mind lately is a constant muddled confusion. With baby number three on the way, changes are zipping all around me and I am trying so hard to stay focused. This is a great prayer and just what I need in these times. I definitely need to take more time to "park my mind" on Jesus. Thank you for a great prayer!

  5. Shannon,

I just love these daily prayers you send out. In the mornings, when my little baby birds are up and getting ready for school, they always chirp, "Mommy, did we get another Jesus in my orange juice?" Note, they think it's Jesus IN my Orange Juice. I finally got it through to them that it's Jesus AND my Orange Juice. I read it to them whenever it graces my inbox. Sometimes in the car right before pulling out of the driveway, or sometimes I have my 14 year old read it to everyone on the way to school. I've been reading them to my husband each time I receive them and I can't tell you how MUCH you have blessed our family with your ministry. Please consider putting these daily prayers in a book. I would buy it for sure! I would love a book with one of these amazing prayers and insights from you for each day of the year. You are an amazing woman and I feel so blessed and graced just to have your writings and prayers in my inbox. Thank you, Shannon. Thank you for blessing me with the EXACT words my husband and I need to hear everyday. It's uncanny how relevant your writings are for us -- it's almost as if you're looking into our home and writing about exactly what we need. Thank you again. Love, Samantha

  11. Why, why, WHY didn't I read this earlier today? I'm so happy I did now. Thanks for slowing down my pace and reminding me to let God occupy that space that so easily fills up with other "stuff."
