Rest for Your Soul - Day 3 of Prayer Guide

Day Three
Rest for Your Soul

1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.

Your relationship with God feels distant and strained.  Activity crowds the Savior out of your days.  Worry and stress mark the hours.  Anxious one, come flood rest into your soul.

Today I Pray for You:

·         To draw close to Christ and seek Him first and most

·         To roll your cares onto Christ so peace will roll into you.

Today You Pray:

God of Refreshment, my soul is weary.  I come dragging to Your feet to find rest.  As I pause in the blizzard of activity, I sense Your presence and remember You walk beside me on this journey.

You gave me this opportunity.  You worked in my life to bring it to pass. The what of my day seems insignificant here with the Whom. This realization allows me to make the great exchange – my cares for Your care for me.

  1. Do you think this is going to hit me between the eyes every day? Because it sure is hitting it's mark (well, more like my heart than my eyes:) so far. Keep posting, I'm reading.

    Hugs,
    Mary

  2. Hi, I'm going to post about your blog today. Would you want to do a little blurb introducing my readers to your blog, I'll do the lead in and the finish up, you do the body? I want them to get in on this 30 days before too many days have passed.

If you're willing, I'll use your button and could we also lift the pic of your family?

    Thanks,
    Mary

  6. Hi Shannon - that is so awesome - I love the bit - the what of my day seems so insignificant here with the Whom. Close to Jesus make s all the stuff seem less important.
    God bless

  10. Grumpy Grateful Mom, isn't it cool that God takes us right where we are. I'm sure not perfect but He comes to where I am anyway. So beautiful!

  12. Nellie, I am so honored by your visit and humbled by your follow. Isn't it amazing what God can do through the life of an ordinary girl who simply dares to whisper "yes"?

  13. Praise God for His refreshing - like the gentle rain. Then like a well springing up with pure fresh water for our thirsty soul. Thanks for your beautiful and heart felt prayers.

  19. Yes, yes, yes...activity does crowd the Savior out of our lives. Mine especially, busy, busy doesn't equal productive.
