I grew up in a home where we exchanged all kinds of favors - back rubs, arm tickles and back "treasure hunts" to name a few. To this day a soft brush touches my heart and not just my skin.
God asks us to touch the world with gentleness. "Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near." Philippians 4:5. I wrote about the soft caress of gentleness today at Keeping it Personal.
What a wise observation you've made Shannon - that directness and productivity can so easily overpower the beauty of a gentle touch. Your post is like a soft tap on my shoulder, reminding me of Christ's gentleness towards me. Something I will strive to incorporate more into my daily life. Thanks for the great message!
I visited your guest post. What a great write-up!
