Day 17 of Prayer Guide - Wisdom for Your Heart

Day Seventeen
Wisdom for Your Heart

Psalm 90:12 Teach us to number our days aright, so we may gain a heart of wisdom.

An unwanted friend, uncertainty lingers in my heart. I wish the label were acquaintance or visitor but friend is the reference for someone invited often to visit. The invitation to hesitation has crippled me. How can I oust worry in favor of confidence?

Troubled one, come grasp wisdom for your heart.

Today I Pray for You:

·         To walk your priorities which garners the freedom of wisdom

·         To acknowledge and cast aside your indecision and embrace Wisdom

Today You Pray:

God of Certainty, I invite You to tread among my hesitation. When we walk in tandem, misgivings flee. My heart flourishes as Your instruction disables my doubt.

As I stand on Your wisdom, I can see over the wall of my indecision. My heart finds peace and rest among Wisdom’s annals.

  1. Hi Shannon,
Good post, we surely need the Lord's wisdom all the more than ever for daily life in these days in which we live.
Sorry I haven't been by as of late, just haven't had the time to visit or post much. Did finally post yesterday.
You take good care hon, hope all is well with you and yours.
    Blessings, Nellie

  2. Amen! That is a great post Shannon. I know I could use much more wisdom, not only for my heart... but head also. Thanks!

  3. Hi Shannon - great prayers as per usual. Its so true that when we walk with Jesus, spend time in His word, doubts flee
Hope you have a blessed and summery weekend
    God bless

  4. When the friend is a loved sister, it is so difficult. I trust in the Lords atonement so I have learned to love and trust her again!

  5. Nellie, Glad to hear you're doing well. Praying for you today...

  6. Terry, love having you visit. Seeking wisdom with you.

  7. Tracy, looking forward to resting and relaxing with the family. How about you? :)

  8. Becky Jane, what a sweet and forgiving spirit. You bless and challenge me.

  9. Like you wrote yesterday, I pray the Lord gives me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that my indecisiveness will be replaced with bold, passionate, and sacrificial decisions... Decisions that are only about God and not about me.

  10. Kelli, love this - "bold, passionate sacrificial decisions." God-honoring.

  11. I love that - "As I stand on Your wisdom, I can see over the wall of my indecision." I'm often plagued by indecision, and wisdom from the Lord is certainly what I need! :-)

  12. Gwendolyn, He is the foundation on which we can stand - the precious Cornerstone. Isn't amazing how God can bear all our weight?

  13. AMEN. Psalm 90:12 is one of my favorites.

  14. Rachel, Thanks so much for stopping by today! Love that we share a favorite scripture!
