Rest for Your Mind - Day Four of Prayer Guide

Day Four
Rest for Your Mind

Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.

Your usually organized thoughts jump one to the other like a pinball machine.  At moments you can’t distinguish where one thought ends and another begins.  Life seems like an endless train never reaching the station.  Frazzled one, come receive rest for your mind.

Today I Pray for You:

·         To focus your mind on the most important tasks and lay unnecessary things aside

·         To declutter your schedule and find spots of sweet serenity and hear from the One who loves you.

Today You Pray:

Prince of Peace, I slide my mind into Your hand. Reign there and eradicate the strain. Invade my brain with Your serenity.  Gather my scattered thoughts to Your heart.

Help me free my calendar and my mind to enjoy these days of preparation. I focus my mind on You, Prince of Peace. I trust You with every detail. My mind is set free by Your perfect peace.

  13. Much needed encouragement today! I love that I can place my trust in Him to decide what I should focus on. I only need to allow myself to be led.

  15. I LOVE it! I spent a lot of time each day working with other social networks that are all about, "give me give me give me"(aka, they are businesses that want to be promoted or sell stuff..which isn't always bad) But it is very nice to stop over here and see such a peaceful and uplifting message! Kudos!!

I find myself too often in my prayers just saying the usual
"thankful for my children, thankful for my home, thankful for the sun today"..which are wonderful and I really am thankful for them, but I say it so often, I think sometimes it really loses it's meaning.

I think one thing that could definitely be a good "FOCUS" is to focus when we pray. Really think about what we are saying and not just saying it.

Stopping by to say hi!, Love your positive and peaceful messages! Found you via Voiceboks Members to remember. :)

  18. These prayer guides are coming a few months too late for me, my dear. I finally graduated from college in June and was a little stressed all year! While I am Catholic, I'm not very consistent with praying and reading the bible and all that. I bet this would have helped me get through finals, frustrating assignments, a full schedule, and grad stuff. Thanks for this :)

  27. Thank you for praying Shannon, Chris has been asked to candidate at the church! We'll be flying out in the next month to visit with church leaders. It's a bit of a scary transition, it's a 3 year old church plant, we've never done that before. As an associate he's typically been at medium churches, so this is uncharted territory. But exciting!

  28. Beck, please keep me posted as I lift you both to the Father.
